UFPC Announces New President and CEO Steven C. McCormick

Louisville, Ky. — January 4, 2013

Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op, LLC (UFPC), exclusive supply chain management organization for Yum! Brands Inc. and its three restaurant systems, KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, announced today the appointment of Steven C. McCormick as UFPC’s President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 14, 2013. Mr. McCormick is the successor to Daniel E. Woodside who announced his retirement in 2012. Mr. Woodside, now CEO Emeritus, will support Mr. McCormick’s transition through June, 2013.

In this position, Mr. McCormick is responsible for all aspects of UFPC’s activities and will report directly to the UFPC Board of Directors. Mr. McCormick will also serve as a non-voting, ex-officio member of the UFPC Board of Directors.

Most recently, Mr. McCormick was Chief Executive Officer of Borden Dairy Company, one of the largest dairy companies in the United States. As CEO, Mr. McCormick is credited with integrating five companies under the Borden name and improving margin and savings through portfolio optimization, cost and product mix efficiencies and establishments of shared services and national accounts sales and marketing teams. Before his tenure with Borden, Mr. McCormick served in various executive leadership roles at Weight Watchers, Coca-Cola, Compaq and Pepsi, including President and Chief Operating Officer of Odwalla, Inc., a leading natural health beverage company. Mr. McCormick is well respected for his strategic accomplishments and exceptional attention to customer service.

Mr. McCormick and his wife will relocate to Louisville, Ky. from Dallas, Texas. Said Mr. McCormick, “I am truly honored and excited to lead the UFPC team. I look forward to collaborating with each brand team and all suppliers in providing world class service and support to the Yum! Brands’ system.”
