UFPC Announces Organizational Changes

Louisville, Ky. — July 5, 2006 —

Daniel E. Woodside, President and Chief Executive Officer of Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op, LLC (UFPC), has announced several organizational changes that will further strengthen the company while recognizing the talent and expertise of its team members.

Pete Suerken has been promoted to Vice President, Centralized Purchasing and Commodity Risk Management (CRM). Pete had served as the Vice President of CRM since joining UFPC in September 2004. His success in holding prices down across several commodity areas and his close relationship with the food and packaging area are definite wins for UFPC.

The Global Pricing System (GPS) team will move under the direction of Jeff Baumgardner, Director of Monitoring. GPS supports our monitoring program, and Jeff's knowledge and experience will solidify this relationship and streamline these processes.

UFPC is the exclusive supply chain management organization for Yum! Brands, Inc. UFPC manages the supply chain for all corporate- and most franchise-owned A&W, KFC, Long John Silver's, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurant outlets in the United States. UFPC negotiates volume purchases of equipment, food, packaging and other supplies from manufacturers and suppliers for purchase by operators.
