New Senior Vice President Joins Taco Bell Co-op Team

Louisville, Ky. — October 21, 2013

Steven C. McCormick, President and Chief Executive Officer, Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op, LLC (UFPC) announced that Todd Silberg will serve as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, Taco Bell National Purchasing Co-op, Inc.

"Todd will bring a proven track record of leadership and system collaboration to our Taco Bell supply chain team," said Mr. McCormick. "His experience in supplier relationship development, risk management and planning/forecasting will add great value as we support Taco Bell's long-term growth objectives.”

In managing the New Products/Core Promotions team for McDonald's Corporation, Todd led several strategic supply chain initiatives. Respected for his subject matter expertise and proven ability to manage supply for new products, core promotions and limited time offerings, Todd was accountable for over $1.5 billion in annual spend. In this strategic sourcing role, Todd managed high-risk categories including the McCafe blended ice initiative which contributed substantial, incremental sales to the U.S. system. Critical supply chain relationships were under his leadership.

Prior to his contributions to McDonald's Corporation, Todd worked for Darden Restaurants in areas of food quality and safety, fresh produce traceability and procurement/distribution. He initiated Darden's "Dirt to Door" food safety program, providing visibility and traceability of produce sourced both domestically and internationally.
